JOY

There is an inner joy that Christians have. This joy is not based on material or physical possessions. It is not just happiness. Happiness can come when you receive a lot of money or get a promotion. Joy however is there even if you do not have a dime.

This joy keeps you. It makes you rejoice in the Lord when it seems there is no hope. It makes you appreciate and love God. It keeps you all the days of your life.

Better still, the word of the Lord says in Jeremiah 31:13 that He will turn our mourning into joy and comfort us. Therefore, there is an assurance that whatever mourning you might face today, it is about to be turned into joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength.

Rejoice!

ILLUMINATED

In Hebrews 10:32 we learn that once we become saved and consequently become Christians, we are illuminated.

Being illuminated signifies being in light. Former dark things are made light unto us. We are brought from ignorance into knowledge and intelligence. It is a great thing to be illuminated and get knowledge. Understanding and wisdom come after illumination.

As we continue to walk with the Lord may we forever shine under his radiance, brilliance and light. And may we continue to be illuminated, never going back to the dark. Amen.

HOPE.

To hope is to expect and want something to happen. There is hardly a time when we do not hope for something; no matter how big or small. In fact, we are always in the process of consciously and unconsciously hoping for several things.

As Christians we should follow the Bible and let God be our hope (Psalm 43:5, 71:5). We should always hope in the Almighty who is mighty and powerful to bring all our hopes to come to pass in line with his Kingdom. Never be cast down, discouraged or dismayed for you have God to hope in.

Hope in the Lord and commit your all to Him and may we begin to see those hopes become reality in Jesus name. Amen.

GODLINESS

“...great is the mystery of godliness...” – 1 Timothy 3:16.

As strange as it may sound, there are only about 15 places where the term “godliness” is used in the Bible. Nevertheless, godliness in my opinion means having a God-like character.

We are to profess godliness with good works – 1 Timothy 2:10. Helping others with a good attitude draws attention to our religion and ultimately to our Father in Heaven. Our eyes become open to the world and we become much more fruitful.

Take time to help an old woman or man cross the road, to help a neighbour run an errand, to volunteer at that place that desperately needs you. Aside the peace and joy that comes with helping, showing Godliness would glorify Our Father. Try to do some good deeds today.

“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience GODLINESS; And to GODLINESS brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.” – 2 Peter 1:5-7.

FAITH

I discovered the meaning of Faith this week. Faith to me is when you know that God can do it. Even if He decides not to, you know that He has the power to do it. That conviction that He absolutely can, really counts. It is truly believing and it is the way to receive. If He can, which He absolutely can, all you have to do is:

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” – Philippians 4:6

Therefore, you should never be in want, because your Father has and can give you. By His Grace may we continually receive our hearts’ desires to the Glory of His Holy Name. Amen.

ENOCH

Hebrew 11:5: “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”

Enoch pleased God. He pleased God so much that he did not see death. Enoch never died, he got transported from earth directly into heaven, that was the extent of how much he pleased God that the Lord God spared him from death.

Enoch was the father of Methuselah who is considered to have lived the longest life of 969 years among men. When you please God He will make you and your family a wonder. You will set unbeatable records. It would be impossible for anybody now to outlive Methuselah. Enoch was dedicated to God just like the meaning of his name.

What is your testimony?
