There is an inner joy that Christians have.
This joy is not based on material or physical possessions. It is not just
happiness. Happiness can come when you receive a lot of money or get a
promotion. Joy however is there even if you do not have a dime.
This joy keeps you. It makes you rejoice in
the Lord when it seems there is no hope. It makes you appreciate and love God. It
keeps you all the days of your life.
Better still, the word of the Lord says in
Jeremiah 31:13 that He will turn our mourning into joy and comfort us. Therefore,
there is an assurance that whatever mourning you might face today, it is about
to be turned into joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength.
